Weigh-In Wednesday – Random Thoughts Edition

Today's Weigh-In Number is....  215.6.  A bit better, and considering the new schedule has kept me from the gym as much as I would like to go, and I've been eating awfully lately, I'll take the modest improvement.

I'm on Day-8 on the new job. Things are heating up. It's fun, but there is a lot of work to do. Life balance is going to be a challenge for the near and foreseeable future.

Random Thoughts

I want to reach the level of fame, and popularity in this life to where if there is a person threatening to commit suicide, and I step in to speak with them, their immediate response is, "Wow, this guy is taking the time to talk to me? He actually cares about me? Maybe life isn't so bad..."

Only very strong people can deal with me over extended periods of time. I am liquid. I flow in life like water, and can adapt to a great many things, but water can break down even the toughest of rocks. I'm not saying I'm bad-ass, but ask any contractor what one of the biggest concerns in any project is - it is water, and how to contain it, and control it.

You need to be strong to deal with who I am. I've had to be strong to deal with who I am. It isn't easy. Just know that I recognize it isn't easy.

I'm still not sure why people think that a 71-year old man who has been nearly criminal, and definitely unethical in his business practices for the last 40 years would have been anything but that once in a political position. Apathy, and simply not paying attention are two of our nation's largest shortcomings.

I have a ton of things for sale on Facebook. It is in this group.  Check out what I have. You might find something you need.

I love summer. I don't love heat. Hot weather makes me sweat, and my skin is actually sensitive to my own sweat. It is a pretty annoying combination. But when people ask me why I live someplace like Buffalo, that is seen throughout the nation as the country's snow capital, that is one reason why I live here. I'd rather be cool, and put on a jacket than sweat endlessly in the humidity of places further south.

Next week is the Celebration Showcase. Go buy your tickets. Seriously, these shows are fantastic if you like music, and stage performances.

I'm off to interview potential new employees for the new place of work. This is pretty cool, but again, it cuts deeply into my time to write, and do creative things right now. Still trying to find that balance.
