COVID-19 Shutdown: Days 4 & 5

Successful shopping trips for grocery essentials, and a few home improvement supplies to tackle projects while on shutdown punctuated the last two days. We completed refurbishing an old dresser to make a very cool Harry Potter themed dresser for the Harry Potter room. I ordered house crest stickers to detail the dresser, but the ones I ordered were not exactly what I thought they would be, size wise, and would have been a bit awkward on in comparison to the size of the dresser. We'll look for others.

Our trip through Home Depot was challenging. People literally huddled in masses, hoovering at the paint counter waiting for their orders.  We stood as far away as we could, subconsciously barely breathing. We both realized we simply weren't breathing normally, almost as if we were trying to not breathe at all. Meanwhile, people packed together, almost more afraid of missing the clerk calling out their order rather than the looming threat of a potentially fatal airborne virus. With sanitizing wipes in our pockets, we frequently wiped our hands discretely, and did our best to maintain social distance. It seemed like all of our fellow shoppers couldn't have cared less.

My jury duty has been postponed. All of my jobs have been postponed. There's nothing to do but conserve, and work on projects. I need to get white spray paint today. I'll go to Value - there's always fewer people at Value.

The Conservative Take

Here's the way these fucking morons view things:

You fucking dingleberriesHey, dingleberries, did you fail to note that after thorough investigations Trump WAS impeached, and although many Republican senators AGREED with the findings, and therefore his GUILT, they still voted to not remove him? Would it have been wasted money if they actually has any sense of ethics, and did the right thing by kicking his sorry ass out of office? No, you'd just be pissed about that, too, because it isn't the country you care about. You prove that every step of the way.

You know, as opposed to the countless Benghazi hearings that resulted in no findings of any wrong doing, on a bi-partisan agreement, EACH and EVERY TIME, costing tax payers significantly more than any of the impeachment investigations, or any investigations into Trump's corrupt administration. Said investigations which resulted in dozens of indictments, admissions of guilt, and the collection of double the asset forfeiture compared to the cost of the investigations themselves.

Right? So, what size is your pin heads so we can fit you with dunce caps.

Oh, and the $1.5T Trump "injected" into the markets last week. That wouldn't have been better spent on Americans?

ONE AND A HALF TRILLION DOLLARS! And you're going to bitch about a few million?  By the way, the Dow Jones closed Friday below where it was when Obama left office, so, yeah, that money was well spent, right?

Digbats.

Normal?

People keep saying they can't wait for things to "return to normal."

Why?

We're in the middle of something forcing us to change. Forcing us to face many of the failures, and shortcomings of our current systems, and institutions.

Why wouldn't you want to apply those changes, and evolve to a higher standard when the opportunity presents itself?

Why return simply to what was?

That's conservative speak. Be progressive.
