The magic number this morning was 219.4. Down a bit, which is good.
What isn't good is I have only managed two gym visits in the last ten days. Ugh. I need to do that more, but things have been quite busy as of late, which is what always happens when soccer season hits. May - July is crazy busy with holidays, kids stuff, weddings, events... life, in general. But those cannot be excuses. I have to make the time. I do still manage to take a couple long walks each day, and always use the stairs to my current 3rd-floor office, so I hope that helps.
This probably doesn't help.
But at least it's a turkey burger, with feta, and onion, and topped with spinach, and tomato. Sure, sure, all you see is the amazing, flowing, melted cheese... who doesn't like cheese?
Anyway, I have no disillusions about my diet.
I. Like. Food.
And being someone who likes food, I am willing to work a bit harder to manage my body, while still enjoying the flavors of life. It's a trade-off. I'm never going to look like a Chippendales dancer, unless you compare me to Chris Farley in the SNL skit. So I'll be happier just reducing the spare tire, and not being a flabby old man in five years.
I mean, flabbier, and older, I guess.
A Little Social Media Fodder
A lot of people in my feeds are pretty passive-aggressive in their approach to... well, many things. Especially relationships. One today posted the question of, "Does he know what he does hurts so much?"
I think I covered this recently in my blog, yes? Unless he is a Dominant, or Sadist, and you're practicing consensual BDSM with him, odds are he doesn't know what he is doing hurts you. The majority of people, as I have said, lack that level of self-awareness, or emotional intelligence, or the empathy required to be able to put themselves in someone else's shoes. If you have to ask that, odds are, you already know the answer, and odds are just as good that he won't change. If it bothers you, move on. If it's abusive, seek assistance. Family Justice Center of Erie County can help, if you're in Erie County.
Celebration Showcase is Coming!
Yes, another summer, and another Celebration Showcase with Cortney Chyme. Check out our latest promo video for the show!
Check out the audio-work. Whoddathunk I could get Main St. in Buffalo sounding like Cortney is standing in a studio?
*Pat pat pat*
But seriously, come see the show. I would suggest ordering tickets through the Tralf Box Office.
I think that's all I have today, for Wednesday, May 23rd. Enjoy your week!
