So, this was the weekend.  Our annual camping trip out to a friend's place in Bennington, NY to watch the peak of the Perseid Meteor Showers.  This year we were also joined by my friend's cousin and his family - so the campout included seven kids in total.  It was a lot of fun - the kids all got along great and everyone enjoy the feast of good foods everyone contributed to the event.

Unfortunately, the weather didn't quite cooperate for the meteor showers.  The combination of distant storms, a hazy atmosphere and a big, bright full moon made the star gazing this year nearly impossible.

But, we as adventurers are a flexible bunch - and we enjoyed the show that mother nature did provide to us...
